The AAsMaAn Portal is the official platform for submitting applications for various awards presented by the Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India) [AFST(I)]. This portal facilitates a streamlined process for members and non-members to apply for prestigious awards recognizing excellence in food science and technology.
Through this portal, applicants can:
Applications/Nominations for the following awards of the AFST(I) for the year 2024 are invited. AFST(I) members / Central Executive Committee/ Local Executive Committee can also nominate eminent persons for the awards. CEC/LEC members of AFST(I) are not eligible to apply for the award during their tenure period. Further, those who have already received an award of AFST(I) under a category cannot apply for an award in the same category. AFST(I) Fellow and Prof. V Subrahmanyan Industrial Achievement are the top awards of AFST(I). Generally, application from any person who already is a Fellow of AFST(I) will not be considered for the Prof. V Subrahmanyan award and vice-versa. The awardees will be selected based on the prescribed score card that will be evaluated/verified by a committee duly constituted by the CEC of AFST(I).
General conditions in additions to those specified for each award
1. All the award applications are open only to Indian citizens or Indian citizens who are currently living / working abroad, unless otherwise specified. Award is granted for the work carried out in India, except in case of the AFST(I) Fellow Award & V Subrahmanyan Industrial Achievement Award, wherein work carried out abroad will also be considered for evaluation.
2. An individual or group can make an application / obtain nomination for only one award. However, one can nominate different individuals for different awards, if eligible.
3. Fellow of AFST(I) and Prof. V Subrahmanyan Award being the highest award of the association, those who are already awarded any one of these two shall not be eligible for any category of award except for AFST(I)-FSSAI award.
4. Any AFST(I) awardee in the past three years are not eligible to apply for any awards i.e., those who have received any AFSTI award (except for AFSTI trust scholarship) in 2023, 2022 & 2021 are not eligible for applying to any AFSTI award for the year 2024.
5. Applicants may go through the check list of documents and formats before filling their on-line application. No hard copy of the application will be considered. All the applications are to be submitted on the dedicated online platform of AFST(I) Awards. AASMaAn portal in AFST(I)
6. Applicants are advised to carefully go through the Instructions before filling the Forms and keep all the required documents ready in the soft form so that delay/inconvenience can be avoided while submitting online.
7. The period for consideration of AFST(I) Awards for 2024 is January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024.
8. Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence will lead to the disqualification. The decision of the duly constituted committee by the AFST(I) CEC, ratified by CEC is final.
9. Since the submission is on the online mode, applicants are advised to obtain the nomination letters in advance, scan the same as PDF and keep them ready to avoid last minute rush.
10. Note: No hard copy of the application will be considered. All Nominations / Applications along with appropriate supporting documents compulsorily should be submitted by Online AASMaAn web portal on or before 5.00 PM on 20th November 2025.
